Cashiers Greenway Ramble

Cashiers, NC, is a charming unincorporated village situated in the mountainous western portion of the state. Residents have shown a desire for walkability for over 30 years, heightened recently because of unprecedented growth. The WALK CASHIERS initiative was formed to address this concern. They are raising money to expand the Cashiers Greenway Ramble, building 5+ miles of walking trails linking people, businesses, youth spaces, and cultural sites—reducing congestion and making it safer to get around. Smart village features include lighting, 911 access, and cultural enhancements. Watch this video to hear the compelling story. Phase One Open

WALK CASHIERS is a collaborative effort between the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce, Jackson County, and Vision Cashiers. This initiative aims to transform Cashiers into a walkable community by creating a five-mile network of pathways, boardwalks, sidewalks, and community spaces.

Named the Cashiers Greenway Ramble, this project will connect residents and visitors to the heart of Cashiers, fostering a sense of community.

WALK CASHIERS will also make Cashiers a "smart village" with fiber internet and down lighting integrated throughout the trail system.
