In Sapphire Valley, three of our four core restaurants [that offer music entertainment] are closed and the other offering take out only.
In addition to the great food and socializing we are missing; we are also missing the entertainment these restaurants provided.
So, we gathered many of our valley musicians together to support these restaurants and created a virtual fund-raising concert! These musicians have played for years at Table64, The Cork and Barrel Lounge (today The Fix) and Micas Mountain Kitchen.
And talk about tough timing—the government shutdown orders actually landed on the exact day Nicole was supposed to host the grand opening party for the new Slopeside Tavern! It was a heart-wrenching start, but thank goodness she and the Tavern pushed through and survived.
